Zap! It’s a Zorse!

Zap! It’s a Zorse!
(posted for the A to Z Challenge)

Z is for Zap … and Zorse.

Well, zikes! Gadzooks! That’s not a horse!
What is that creature? It’s a zorse!
A zorse? What, say you, could that be –
This creature that begins with “Z”?

This little equid in his stripe
Belongs to an unlikely type.
His lineage is quite a mix
Of horse and zebra, just for kicks.

  1. When I first saw the photo of the zorse foal, I thought I was looking at a unicorn ;) Wonder how the zorse came about. Did man interfere with nature or did nature experiment on its own? Please find my latest A-Z Challenge blogs here: http://myheartblogstoyou.blogspot.com/

  2. I want one! At first I thought I was reading Dr. Suess, but I can't believe something like this exists. Where can I find one?

  3. I've seen pictures of those before, I think they look great! I always wondered how their temperament would be though, considering they have the wild blood of a zebra in them... probably a bit high-strung, like a Thoroughbred or Arabian maybe.
