El Santo (The Saint) –

Saddled with Responsibility

The guardian I trust the most,

Beatified from coast to coast,

May poke his nose in everything,

While babysitting in the ring.

He has been known to tell a tale,

To shoot the breeze and bring the mail.

If children wander out of bounds,

He’ll holler his unearthly sounds.

To dictate discipline, he’ll call.

To balance battles, save a fall,

This tattletale is right on course,

Because he is a saintly horse.

  1. What a nice way to honor a tattletale! I can hear those "unearthly sounds."

  2. TERRIFIC photos and poem on ABC Wednesday.

    Bear((( )))

  3. Sometimes tattletales are useful - this one is more ways than one.

  4. Nice post - this horse is like a shepherd.

  5. What a nice tribute to this tattletale. I'm sure he's telling everyone about it now. Nice job. Enjoyed reading this very much. Have a nice day.
