Fairly Fall –

A Trip on the Trail

Leaving home for just a while,

And heading for the trail in style -

With hands on reins

Held close to manes,

We carve our joys in single file.

No scary stories taunt us here,

A-galloping with those held dear.

With softest cues

We banish blues

In golden autumn’s atmosphere.

  1. We are headed for an october outing, too, though not with horses. We are going camping in our tiny trailer--one overnight to determine if we can travel in it at this time of year. Brrr... Frost last night.

  9. That looks soooo nice!!

My husband and I are learning Western style riding now. I used to ride English style when I was young, he never rode at all, so it's new to both of us, and we're loving every minute.

The lessons are all in a barn though, and I do miss going for a gentle hack.
