Horsey Books: Check Out 'Bubba to the Rescue'

With what real-life issues might a horse-loving teen grapple? Author Jennifer Walker addresses that question gently and tactfully her new book, Bubba to the Rescue.

(Don't miss the free giveaway/contest at the end of this blog post!)

What is Bubba to the Rescue? Second in Walker’s Green Meadow Series, this horse-friendly find is a preteen novel that's packed with action, adventure and personal drama.

Bubba's horse-loving author invited The Mane Point to be the second stop on her March 2012 book tour for this new release. Walker’s Bubba to the Rescue book tour runs through March 16th.

Here’s my book review of this fun read for young horse lovers:

(Green Meadow Series)
by Jennifer Walker

Have you read Bubba to the Rescue yet? The book is listed in paperback and digital editions by several online sellers, including Amazon.

About the Author: Jennifer Walker
Horse lover Jennifer Walker is the author of Bubba to the Rescue, Bubba Goes National, and Leslie and the Lion. Her articles have appeared in Arabian Horse Times, Horseman’s News, Modern Arabian Horse and Sierra Style. Jennifer Walker has published short stories in Elements of the Soul and The Ultimate Horse Lover.

Through July 1, 2012*, Walker will donate $1 for each copy of Bubba to the Rescue (or the first Green Meadow book, Bubba Goes National) sold through Twin Trinity to young rider Zoe Deaton’s fundraising efforts, as the Kentucky teen points for the 2012 Arabian Youth Nationals in Albuquerque.

Great Giveaway!

Walker, an avid equestrian and prolific writer, is offering a fun contest for readers of The Mane Point. My friend and colleague tells me that she will present one lucky person with a free download of  Leslie and the Lion. This tale, usually priced at $.99 per download, is a companion work to the Green Meadow Series.

How can you enter the free story contest?

Just leave a comment (below) on this blog post before the end of the book tour (midnight ET on Friday, March 16, 2012). Be sure to include your email address or a link to your own website, so we can let you know, if you win.

The lucky reader will be announced on Saturday, March 17th, right here on The Mane Point. (“Follow” this blog, so you can find your way back easily!)

Good luck, and happy reading!
