Filly al Fresco

“Better is a dry morsel,

and quietness therewith,

than an house full of sacrifices with strife.”

(Proverbs 17:1, KJV)

Private Dining -

A Filly’s Rhyme on Suppertime

The city lights, they touch her not,

For beauty thus need not be sought.

Alone, she savors stolen treats,

Ere others join, with pounding beats.

She makes an entrance out of doors,

Just filled with joy, she yet implores.

Perchance this time she need not share

Her bounty feast in open air.
