Crafty gifts for horsey folks: Handcrafted grooming brush boxes



Sally Pankonen combines creative craftsmanship and equestrian training in her Milwaukee-based business, known as Encompass Equine. Pankonen sells her wares in 22 American states, as well as Canada.

The Wisconsin horse lover offers custom painted or stained wooden horse grooming brush boxes, as well as fancy tack trunks and wooden dressage arena letters

She also sews all-purpose saddle covers, stirrup socks and sleeves, polo wraps, and equestrian safety helmet covers.

Her grooming brush boxes, which can be painted to order, cost about $45. 


Custom tack trunks range from $500 to $650. Saddle covers are $25.
