Great Green Grub –

(What’s Your Favorite Food?)

What is it that you crave to munch?

Perhaps a pretzel, peanuts, punch.

You may choose chocolate, chips or cake.

What lures you to increased intake?

My favorite foods to munch all day

Are timothy, alfalfa, hay.

Of course, an apple is a treat,

A carrot, peppermint, not meat.

Although the herd may buck and wail,

I plan to stay here at the bale.

When spring’s green grass may yet appear,

Then I may step away from here.
